Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Job Summary:

Responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received at Future Test Inc. May require delivery/pick- up of various products and parts from customers and vendors. Maintain organization of shipping area and oversee maintenance of company vehicle.

  • Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped/received using custom software.
  • Order supplies.
  • Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determines most economical and efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
  • Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing information is correct.
  • Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded and checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing per policy.
  • Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor.
  • Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
  • Maintain department database, complete and file shipping/receiving records.
  • Will drive company vehicle to deliver shipments; assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety and environmental standards.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills Needed:

  • Must have a valid Arizona Drivers License with a clean driving record
  • One year of related experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PCs, Fed Ex and UPS websites
  • Possess proper packaging techniques to insure safety of items while in transit
  • Manage multiple competing priorities that may change quickly

Electronic Assembler

Job Description:

Assemble circuit boards, cables and small mechanical assemblies of various sizes and complexity, inspect products to ensure high quality and workmanship. It is essential to have the ability to hand solder extremely small components, therefore, good eyesight and hand dexterity is a must.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Assemble PCBs with SMT and through-hole components

 Qualifications:

  • Ability to hand solder extremely small components
  • Read/understand assembly drawings/instructions
  • Basic math and measuring skills
  • Speak, read and write English fluently
  • Excellent hand soldering skills
  • Identify electronic components, polarity, color code and value
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail
  • One or more years of experience

A written as well as a hands-on skill test will be given as part of the interview process.

 Working Environment: Production area is clean, well-ventilated, and air conditioned. Employee will have his/her own work station. Management will provide all necessary tools and equipment. Some projects will require use of safety equipment such as, but not limited to, protective eye wear.

Physical Requirements: The job duties may require an employee to sit for extended periods of time, use hand dexterity to assemble projects, and visually inspect work.

Education: High School diploma or GED

Experience: Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications: Soldering certification(s) preferred

Machine Operator / Entry Level

Job Description:

Operate and tend CNC mill and lathe machines

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Read work orders to determine specifications of a project
  • Run machines according to printed procedures
  • Load work pieces into machines
  • Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds
  • Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data
  • Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications using micrometers,
  • Gauges and calipers
  • Examine completed work pieces for defects
  • Maintain, clean, and lubricate machines
  • Other duties that may be assigned
  • Comply with OSHA and company safety rules

Qualifications:

At least one year of relevant machining experience.

Working Environment:

Machining area is clean, well-ventilated, and air conditioned. Management will provide all necessary tools and equipment. Some projects will require use of safety equipment such as, but not limited to, protective eye wear.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates degree OR completion of related apprenticeship program preferred
  • Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements
